Crafting with Kids at home

So We all know that this blog is mainly Crafts. This upcoming Year of 2015 I will be introducing some mommy chat on here. I hope y'all don't mind. So with that being said I will begin with explaining how I manage to craft and still keep up with my crafty projects while 4 kids are running around my house.

Well I usually set up a time to craft in my Personal Filofax. Because lets face it My children are my life and they will always come first.  Although sometimes my little one who is 7 wants to keep me company I take out the ugliest scrap paper ( lets face it we all have that one paper we hate) and I take out my Fiskars or Martha Stewart punches and just let him punch away. We call it crafting time. Now while Nirvana and guitar sounds(yes we were crazy and got our oldest a guitar for christmas) are blasting from my Two oldest kids bedroom (yes they share a room), I put on my own headphones and get crafty with some of my Fav crafty YouTubers.

The hardest thing is making time. Not finding time. I will make a video, Then go play mine craft with my 10 yr old while the video is uploading.  Or do a load of the unforgiving pile of laundry that I have had since the kids have been home for holiday break, While I upload or edit a video. Mom is short for multitasker.(lol)

Tip 1) If you are crafting and have a little little one don't be afraid to let them get dirty. I used to love to let my 7yr old play with my markers while I was working on a project. Some of my favorite drawings have came from this time.

Tip 2) if your kids are being loud it just means they are having fun. So get some headphones and craft away lol.

Tip 3) if you have a project for a DT due pre record or make the videos when you have the time. With kids things always come up.  I learned this first hand two weeks ago when my little one had a stomach bug

Well this is my Mom life hope you all stick around to see what happens next for this crazy crafty mom of 4 and I hope you enjoy my new 2015 Blog

Well my Blogidays didn't turn out the way I had planned. Busy schedules turned into busy weeks and now there are only 6 days left until christmas. So here are just some of the projects I have created this month. Between Holiday parties, band concerts, gift buying, gift wrapping, and family time I have managed to get some of my december daily done along with embossing some wood veneer words in gold. Happy Holidays from my house to yours. This is the most wonderful and crazy time of the year. lol

December Daily Cover 2014

So the time has come yet again, to begin those Holiday crafts. I am starting early this year with the help of my Planner and some crafty friends who continue to motivate me. I have thus far completed a couple cards and my December daily cover which I am sharing with you today. For this cover I wanted to go with a wood veneer look. So I used my Silhouette portrait to cut this image and used a shadowing effect to give it the dimensional look. I truly love how it came out.  I also used my portrait to cut out the script december. The sequins I used are from VVSweetidea. The only thing left to figure out is hoe I will keep the cover from ruining lol. Any suggestions?

Christmas Card series

So with the holiday season starting I figured I would get started on my holiday cards. I wanted to make the most of my stamps, so for this series I am using everyday stamps and turning them into holiday stamps. In this card I am using Latte Anya fromThe Greetin Farm. I colored her with copics and then colored her Latte to look like the first red cup of the season from Starbucks. So what do you all think.

Where the Crafts Happen

My crafty area usually consist of random Toys, candy, wii remote and all kinds of children's valuables ( I share my space with a 14, 12, 10, & 7 yr old). So when I get the chance I do try to straighten up and organize. I just thought you might like a glimpse of my Crazy Crafty situation.

Creative Bloggers Hop

Hello everyone I was invited by an amazing crafter Kristina aka craftypaws to participate in this continuous  blog hop that showcases and host some very talented and inspirational bloggers. Thank you Kristina for having invited me to participate.

What I am working on at the moment ?
I am currently working on a card for my nightmare before Christmas YouTube series. I just finished working on a Halloween tag and am really debating on making another one. Let's just say tags are not my favorite. I  am also working on a couple of challenges that some of my very crafty friends are hosting.
How does my work differ from others in my genre?
I would have to say that my work differs from others in the way that I put twist of color combos on almost every craft I create. I also don't have just one certain style I always create what I am feeling in that moment. I love to create project life style,  my own embellishments, to any kind if card but there is one craft I am deathly afraid of and that is steam punk lol.
Why do I write/craft what I do?
I love creating and crafting because it makes me feel accomplished when I look at one of my finished projects. I have always loved working with paper since I was little. I won the coloring contest at my elementary school every year. So when I found this crafty community on YouTube and the web, I decided to five right in and give it a try. I love how crafting has brought me so many amazing and talented friends who love the same thing and are as passionate as I am.
How does my creative process work?
I am always looking for inspiration and how I can turn an item into multiple items to use and craft with. I am also inspired  on a daily basis by many creative individuals on YouTube . When I see something I have to try to figure out how it was made or created. I have made anywhere from house decor,  bows , to wreaths but paper crafting is by far my favorite.

What's been going on

Ok so where do I begin? Maybe with my 4kids being home on summer vacation, or my husbands grandfather passing, or that I have little to no time for myself. Well I guess I really need to explain a few things. So other than my 4 kids being at home 24/7 and eating about $500.00 in groceries every 15 days , my husband also lost his last living grandfather. Which was a hard thing for him to deal with and in return everything fell on my shoulders to keep this household going . So busy has been a bit of an understatement. But let's not forget that I have an iPhone which gives me crap about posting on blogger . Most of my pics that I post get deleted as well. I wish I had a fairy nanny that could not only fix my life, kids, husband, and home but my crazy phone too. Lol. Well I hope to start doing some much  changes to this old blog and I hope you all stick around for them.  hugs and have a wonderful weekend (ps that is a Giant Moth lol on our truck door.)

I am back w/ a Layout

This is a layout I created of my daughter at her track meet. I used the Glitz design paper along with some embellishments I created with my silhouette portrait. I really loved how it turned out. Considering the fact that it has been a while since my last layout lol. I really need to get back into the swing of things but with summer sports starting up we will see . Well I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday and I hope you all have a great week hugs
